The Enemy - Social Disguises Album

The Enemy will be releasing their long awaited fifth studio album Social Disguises on Friday 20th February 2026.

It is promising to be a return to their roots, bringing the Coventry band back to their indie anthem days when they released their first album, We'll Live And Die In These Towns in July 2007 which shot straight to the top of the Official UK Album Charts.

Two tracks from Social Disguises have already been released, giving fans a taster of what to expect from the 2026 album. Not Going Your Way and Trouble were well received during The Enemy 2025 tour. Fans have been delighted with the first new material from Tom Clarke, Andy Hopkins and Liam Watts since reforming in 2022.

Social Disguises is available for pre-order from The Enemy and all good record stores.

Tom Clarke Gives Album Update

NME spoke to Tom Clarke, who gave an update about the development of the third album. Here is the story:

The Enemy frontman Tom Clarke says the band's forthcoming third LP is more "mature" - but will still have some "screamers" on it.

The singer told NME that the Coventry trio are still in the writing and rehearsal stage of the album, but they were raring to get back out on the circuit.

"We have loads of tunes we're all excited about," he said. "Some of it is the most mature stuff we've ever written, and some of it is good old Enemy two-chord screamers."

He added: "We can't wait to be in the thick of it again. There's a quiet to fill, and nothing on the radio that's crying out to us. Like when we started…"

The album will be the follow-up to the band's second album, 2009's 'Music For The People'. It is expected in late 2011.

The Enemy Sponsor Cov City Game

COVENTRY City football club have agreed a unique sponsorship package for this Saturday's clash with Watford.

The Enemy, the city's most successful band since The Specials, will be the official match ball sponsor for the game ahead of the release of their much-anticipated second album 'Music For The People' on Monday.

Tracks from the new album will be played in the build-up to City's last home game of the season and the band's promotional material will be around the Ricoh Arena.

Bass player Andy Hopkins has also conducted an interview for the club's matchday programme.

Coventry City commercial director Nathan Kosky said: "I am not sure a band has ever sponsored a match ball before - certainly not here at Coventry City.

"We know they have been supporters of the team and they have put the city back onto the musical map in the past couple of years.

"It's great they have decided to support the club in this way and also realise that reaching out to Sky Blues fans is a great way to promote the new album in their home town".

"We will be playing tracks from the album before the game and hopefully that will help to generate a good atmosphere ahead of our final game here at the Ricoh this season. The album has received great reviews.

"We are also looking forward to seeing them here at the Ricoh in the summer when they are supporting Oasis as part of their tour."
