The Enemy: Ibiza Rocks Review
The Enemy have not only been soaking up the sun in Ibiza, they have been rocking the island according to the report on Ibiza Rocks:Last Tuesday night (04/08/09) was an all-out display of classic Ibiza Rocks talent.
John McClure's electro-funk dynamos, Reverend And The Makers, opened the night with a dazzling set showcasing their awesome new album, 'A French Kiss In The Chaos'. Politics, passion and massive tunes - it all comes naturally to The Rev, and McClure was on top form.
And then The Enemy...
Can any band be said to better embody the spirit of Ibiza Rocks? For the third year in a row Coventry's post punk renaissance men have brought their anthemic take on UK indie to the White Island - last year they played the opening gig at the Ibiza Rocks hotel and very nearly brought the house down.
This year was no less momentous; a beer-soaked journey though heartbreak and hardship and out the other side, all culminating in a mind-blowing finale and bassist Andy repeatedly throwing himself into the gleeful audience.

A Night On The Tiles For The Enemy
The Enemy joined Kasabian's Tom Meighan for a spot of champers, as reported in The Mirror.Diners at the swanky Gilgamesh bar in Camden got more than they bargained for when Kasabian's Tom Meighan got battered on champagne and started jumping on top of the tables.
The boys forked out £3,000 for Christian Audigier champers for the band and their mates Stephen Graham and The Enemy, after their "emotional" iTunes performance at the Roundhouse.
And with Tom shouting "Come on let's have it," the boys were necking it at a startling pace.

The Enemy iTunes Festival
The Enemy supported the mighty Oasis at the iTunes Festival in London tonight (21/07/09). The event was being held at the Roundhouse in Camden and Tom Clarke encouraged fans to get involved saying, "This is a rock 'n' roll gig, not a tea party!" The iTunes crowd responded by singing along to 'Away From Here' and Tom was clearly enjoying the atmosphere as he said, "That is a bit more f**king like it London."Tom later asked fans if they were looking forward to Oasis to which he said in response, "You sound half asleep, you need to get some f**king beer down ya!" The crowds cheered louder and were in fine voice during 'We'll Live And die in These Towns'.
There was a special shout-out to XFM radio as Tom dedicated 'Happy Birthday Jane' to them saying, "Thanks to XFM, who backed us from the very early days." Another loud cheer went up as Tom thanked Oasis for having them as support, with that the final track was performed and Oasis took over as the next performers at the iTunes Festival.
Noel Gallagher told XFM that The Enemy went down a storm on their recent tour and he enjoyed their music, having bought the first album. When asked about the press reports about the 'fallout' between Liam and Tom Clarke, he said that "Liam had nothing to Twitter about", showing that there was nothing to 'fallout' about with The Enemy.
The Enemy performed:
Had Enough
Aggro
Away From Here
No Time For Tears
Sing When You're In Love
This Song
Be Somebody
We'll Live And Die In These Towns
Happy Birthday Jane
You're Not Alone
