Find out which tracks fans have been listening to the most over the past 19 years as we journey back over the first four album tracks. From We'll Live and Die In These Towns (2007) to It's Automatic (2015) we will journey back to the greatest tracks by The Enemy. Music For the People (2009) and Streets In The Sky (2012) also produced memorable tracks.
Two weeks to go until the new album by The Enemy is finally released. Fans have waited over 10 years since the last album (It's Automatic 2015) release. Social Disguises hits the shops/streams on Friday 20th February 2026.
The past year has been a busy one for The Enemy with three new tracks released from the forthcoming album as well as a nationwide tour. This year is already shaping up to be another hectic one with a series of performances for the album launch (see previous posts), Summer festivals and a tour with Ocean Colour Scene later in the year.
The Enemy have released the single ‘The Boxer’, ahead of their forthcoming record Social Disguises, set to be released on February 20.
Social Disguises is the trio's first album in over a decade, and it was produced by their long-term collaborator Matt Terry.
Aiming to hit the same standards of their platinum-selling debut, We'll Live And Die In These Towns (2007), The Enemy have written their new record from 90 demos, some of which stem back to when they reformed in 2022. The group had split in 2016.
Described as intensely hypnotic, ‘The Boxer’ is about a man whose glory days are behind him, as well as a metaphor for other universal experiences, such as the realisation that our futures can always change for the better if we keep striving and battling for something more.
"‘The Boxer’ is about a fictional character, but it's an observation about regret and how anxiety can stop us achieving things we want to in life," said Tom Clarke, the lead vocalist of the band.
"It's about fear holding us back, and how that can destroy who we are. We tried to achieve an industrial weight to the sound, and a monotony to the composition to reflect the sentiment of being stuck."
Taking place in Priory Park, Southend, Essex with acts such as Tinie Tempah and Feeder, it is on course to becoming a sell out with record ticket sales.
Described as, "A magical mix of music, unforgettable memories and good vibes - this is No Ordinary Weekend." LazyDays Festival has been growing from rising talent to festival favourites, and this year will bring a bigger and better second stage plus a brand-new third stage packed with unforgettable discoveries, according to festival organisers.
The Enemy will take to the stage on Saturday 25th July 2026. Tom, Andy and Liam have a growing number of music festivals lined up as they promote the new album as well as anthem crowd pleasers.
Following hot on the heals of the four album launch signing/performance events, The Enemy have announced three extra dates for Liverpool, Edinburgh and Nottingham.

A special BBC CWR radio documentary about the trails and tribulations facing Coventry City Football Club in their battle for their football stadium has been aired and features the music from The Enemy throughout the hour long special.
Iconic tunes such as Aggro and Away From Here featured alongside the Sky Blues anthem song We'll Live And Die In These Towns, as the story of that journey from administration and homeless from the arena to finally coming back home to Coventry. The Enemy also performed live to home fans on Tuesday 4th November at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Tom Clarke described the moment as humbling and strange. Days later The Enemy performed two sell out gigs in Coventry as delighted fans celebrated both Coventry City Football Club and The Enemy returned to their rightful place in Coventry.
August 23rd, 2025 is a day etched into the history of CCFC. A club that had been homeless in its own city, finally got the keys to a place to call home.
This BBC CWR special revisits the story, including the sale of Highfield Road, the original plans with a retractable roof, owners SISU, Wasps, ground shares, promotions and more.

"When The Enemy broke onto the UK music scene in 2006, they quickly earned their place as one of the biggest bands of the era. Their anthemic, rabble-rousing energy lead to the #1, Platinum-certified debut album 'We'll Live And Die In These Towns' as well as two more hit albums- 'Music For The People' (#2) and 'Streets In The Sky' (#9) before they said farewell with 'It's Automatic' (2015). After celebrating their successes with numerous sold out tours, NME awards and performances with the likes of Oasis and The Rolling Stones, the band parted ways in 2016.
Tom Clarke (vocals/guitar) did continue the band’s legacy touring solo across the UK during the in-between years, but eventually reunited with Andy Hopkins (bass) and Liam Watts (drums) in 2022. With over 40,000 tickets sold for their reunion tour the demand for the 3-piece was still very much alive and well. In their home turf of Coventry, C.C.F.C. & fans proudly adopted the song 'We'll Live And Die In These Towns' as their club anthem, further cementing their roots in both their home city and the wider football community, after having multiple hit songs used on iconic FIFA soundtracks, as well as ITV coverage of The FA Cup. The trio now embark on another sold out UK tour whilst announcing the upcoming release of their fifth studio album."
