The Enemy were performing as support for Oasis during their massive UK Tour and 70,000 fans were in Manchester to witness the first music event of it's kind seen at Heaton Park. Twisted Wheel and Kasabian completed the line-up that, according to Liam Gallagner would be "better than Knebworth."

Saturday's spectacular more than made up for the problems seen on the opening night and Tom Clarke had recovered from food poisoning. The Enemy set list incorporated more tracks from the new album, opening with 'Elephant Song' and closing surprisingly with 'Happy Birthday Jane'. The crowds were very receptive and 'Away From Here' (
watch the video below) and 'Had Enough' got the crowds dancing along. New album tracks 'No Time For Tears' and 'Sing When You're In Love' were received well and fans were treated to '51st State'.

The Enemy warmed the crowd up nicely for Kasabian - who really got the crowds joining in. Everyone had their hands in the air clapping and singing along to their catchy tunes. By the time Oasis came on the job had been completed as 70,000 fans enjoyed Oasis at their best. Manchester welcomed Liam and Noel home with open arms and Oasis responded by putting on a worthy performance. Classis were integrated with newer material and banter between songs was humorous. Thankfully the rain held off and a good night was had by all..................
