Things are already hotting up in The Enemy camp as the support acts for the 2009 UK Tour were revealed. Following the lads around the UK in March and April will be up and coming SKA influenced band Kid British and Mancunian sounding Twisted Wheel.
First up are Kid British, with a sound that will please every SKA fan, in fact this band takes the 'good and the great', mixes it together and comes out with a superb fresh sound. Adio, Sean, James and Simeon are a breath of fresh air and are set to go places in 2009 while putting the FUN back into music. They describe their music as 'A tasty shank of old school ska and dancehall, a generous twist of indie (be rude not to rudeboy!) a light splash of reggae, and garnished with a juicy slice of electro pop' on their MySpace page. Kid British will have you hooked, as a bonus - the lads are giving away a free MP3. Check them out: http://www.myspace.com/kidbritishmusic
Twisted Wheel (Pic: www.myspace.com/pauladshead)Next up are Twisted Wheel, who put the swagger back into indie, the attitude back into rock and the voice back into Manchester (and Oldham!). These lads are no strangers to performing live and recently joined Oasis at Wembley on their tour. Frontman Jonny Brown said the debut album is "raw, got lots of energy and killer songs". Joining Jonny is old schoolmate Rick Lee on bass and Adam Clarke on drums. Forming last February, NME magazine described Twisted Wheel as an ace band and things have been proving ace for the northern trio. They will be the perfect support act for The Enemy during the March/April tour. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/thetwistedwheel - and if you're really good you can have a free download!
The Enemy 2009 tour just got even better!
